Tiger II - #104

Commander: Company-squad leader, SS-Unterscharführer Sepp Franzl

Movement Profile: 12/16/1944 18/12/1944:march on Tondorf, Losheim, Lanzerath, Buchholz, Honsfeld, Büllingen, Moder Scheid, Thirimont, Ligneuville, Lodomez, Stavelot.

12/18/1944:After 105 went in Stavelot in a house, Wessel has changed most probably in him (the next tiger of the 1st company) 104. Afterwards the quick second leg of the journey direction Trois-Ponts. Most probably participation in the attack direction Habiemont. Then about evening retreat to La Gleize, because no load-bearing bridge was found. On account of the later location of 104 in the lane “Chemin Vieille-Voie”, one can assume from the fact that the tank leergetankt was taken by 204 in dragging (report of Wortmann!) and then in the lane relatively “securely” (against airmen, enemy's tank, artillery ⇒ notes that the tank stands exactly less than 2-3 to trees on the left side; on the right is a higher wall) was put down. Besides, a chain could also have slipped off (strong left turn) and one the other opened about 104 further to be able to move. Maybe one expected at this time still petrol and supplies to be able to receive. 204 stood because in almost straight line compared with the high street on a meadow and protected direction Roanne.

12/22/1944 - 12/24/1944: In this period 104 is given up finally.
